Program will be presented at the Lehigh Valley Zoo in Schnecksville, PA

Registration and filing for Act 48 credit will be processed by the Lehigh Valley Zoo.

Pennsylvania Songbirds
Presented by the Pennsylvania Game Commission
The PA Songbirds workshop is a hands on workshop where participants will be actively engaged in activities that they can utilize in their classrooms to teach subjects like adaptations, migration, predator prey relationships and bird biology to name a few. “Songbirds” is an interdisciplinary approach to teaching children about many kinds of birds and their habitats in Pennsylvania. Participants should be prepared to work on group activities both indoors and outside. You may want to bring binoculars if you have them, otherwise some will be provided.
Participants will receive a Songbirds of PA curriculum book

• Avian Biology
• Habitat
• Bird identification
• Migration
• Research techniques
• Birds and people and proactive behavior
