Imagine the thrill of having a penguin waddle up to meet you! During Lehigh Valley Zoo's interactive Penguin Connection, you'll be introduced to one of our African penguins and may even get to touch its sleek, slick feathers. Participants will learn about these remarkable birds and discuss conservation issues affecting their population.

Information and Pricing: $300 Group size limited to eight people. Attendees must be at least 42" tall. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Two weeks advance reservation required. Free Zoo admission for the day included for all participants.

Lehigh Valley Zoo's Penguin Connection offers participants a nose-to-beak experience in an intimate group setting. Penguin Connection provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet one of Lehigh Valley Zoo's African penguins up close. During the program, participants view a 10 minute presentation on penguins, learn about their natural history and care, and the challenges they face in the wild. After the presentation, one of the Zoo's African penguins will walk freely among the group. Guests can offer toys to the bird and watch as the penguin plays and interacts with his guests. The program includes 20 minutes of supervised contact time followed by ten minutes for photos where guests may have an opportunity to touch the penguin. This unforgettable program held at Lehigh Valley Zoo is a unique opportunity to get close to and learn about these remarkable birds.

Do we get to touch or pet a penguin?
Due to the needs of our animals, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to touch the penguin. Our educators are experts in determining if it is appropriate for you to do so.
