Q:
How far in advance should I schedule?
Our
rental schedule varies wildly; some groups reserve space a year
or more in advance, and some call only a week or two prior. To ensure
that your desired date is available, we recommend that you call
as early as possible.
Q:
What are your payment terms?
We require
a refundable 50% deposit in order to hold your date. Your rental
may be cancelled (with a full refund) up to TWO WEEKS prior to your
rental date. The balance of your payment is required BEFORE your
rental begins. In some cases, customers with established credit
may pay by invoice after the date of the rental.
Q:
What if I only want a space for an hour?
We require
a minimum reservation of two hours for any rental space.
Q:
How can my tables and chairs be configured?
Rental
space is very flexible; the Zoo will set up your tables and chairs
prior to your arrival in any configuration you choose. When you
arrive, your space will be freshly cleaned and ready for your guests.
Q:
What if I want to decorate my rental area?
Customers
reserving either FULL DAY or AFTER HOURS rentals may be permitted
access to the Zoo prior to their rental (either on the prior day
or in the hours preceding) to decorate as they wish. Arrangements
for decorating time MUST be made in advance with the Zoo; all items
to be used as decoration must be reviewed and approved by the Zoo.
The Zoo does not provide decorations or staff for decorating.
Customers
reserving a rental of FOUR or FEWER HOURS will be allowed access
to their area for a maximum of one half hour (30 minutes) prior
to their rental time for decorating.
All
guests are allowed a reasonable amount of time after their rental
to remove any decorations they wish to keep. Zoo staff will handle
all trash removal, break down of tables and chairs, etc.
Q:
How flexible are your prices?
Our
prices are set to cover the Zoo's costs (staffing, cleanup, electric
and other utilities) plus an already-small margin that goes to fund
operations (animal care and feeding, maintenance of facilities,
etc) and are therefore not open to much negotiation. Please do call
if you have questions, however; we will work with any group to try
and find a rental that is affordable and suits your needs.
