Experience life as an animal of the night! Find out who comes out when the sun goes down as you walk and slither your way through the Zoo to observe nocturnal animals such as our Red Kangaroos in action.
As a fun-filled overnight excursion, your adventure will combine the excitement of exploring the Zoo from a nocturnal perspective while engaging in hands-on activities that inform participants about wildlife conservation and nature.
Your Explore & Snore adventure begins at 6:00 pm and allows you to sleep at the Zoo and explore until 9:00 am the following morning. Activities include a late night tour of the Zoo, an animal presentation, evening snack, flashlight hike, and continental breakfast. Explore & Snores are designed for individual groups to provide a more personal Zoo experience. This evening program is offered any night of the week year-round and is ideal for clubs, organizations, and scout groups.
*Our Conservation Education staff can customize an Explore & Snore program to cover scout requirements or assessment anchors for schools.
What animal species are available for the Explore & Snore animal presentation?
We have a wide variety of animal ambassadors available year-round for conservation education programs. Program animals include mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians including but not limited to a Porcupine, Crane, Sloth, African Penguin and Snake. All animals presented will be appropriate for the program audience, but due to the needs of our animals, we cannot guarantee a specific animal species.
