Important Things to Keep in Mind

- Reciprocity applies to admission to the main facility during normal operating days and hours.
- The number of visitors admitted with a family membership may vary depending on the zoo or aquarium visited.
- Reciprocity may exclude special exhibits or events that require an additional fee.
- Reciprocity does not limit the number of visits to any participating zoo or aquarium.
- Please call each individual zoo/aquarium BEFORE your visit to confirm the latest details and restrictions.
AZA Reciprocal Admissions Program FAQ's
- Not every AZA-accredited zoo and aquarium participates in the AZA Reciprocal Admissions Program.
- Some AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums that do not participate in the program may have individual reciprocity agreements with other AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums. Contact your local zoo or aquarium to find out about any special discount agreements.
- Zoos and aquariums that are in close geographic proximity to one another are not required to offer discounted admissions to each other's members. They may, however, offer an alternative discount.
- "Close geographic proximity" is determined by each institution. Contact your local zoo or aquarium to find out about any special discount arrangements.
- The AZA Reciprocal Admissions Program is not the same as the AZA Free and Discounted Admissions Program. AZA individual members have access to the Free and Discounted Admissions Program, a program intended to facilitate professional exchange between zoo and aquarium employees.
- Please note that AZA does not offer memberships that provide discounts for the public - or, those who do not work in the zoological profession.
