11AM – 12PM
How does a tiny seed turn into a beautiful sunflower?
This is just one question local author Tassia Schreiner explores in her newest book Sunny: A Story of Life and Love which will be read by the author herself at this very special conservation story-time event!
The event goes from 11 AM to 12 PM at Preston’s Place inside the Zoo. Your ticket also covers your Zoo admission for the day!
Learn about the life-cycle of a sunflower as the author reads, discuss native plant conservation after the reading with a special guest from Edge of the Woods Nursery, and receive a special goody bag filled with supplies to start your own garden at home!
Add your own copy of “Sunny” to your ticket and even have it signed by the author herself!
Tickets are limited for this private event. Parents are encouraged to purchase standard Zoo admission so that Sunny Garden Party tickets can be made available for our younger guests, recommended for ages 4-12. Guests are invited to bring a cushion or blanket to make seating in our garden area more comfortable.
