Let science come to life with unique animal species, animal artifacts and highly-skilled conservation educators from Lehigh Valley Zoo through a variety of year-round programs. These engaging multi-sensory experiences, incorporate Common Core Standards, Pennsylvania Assessment Anchors and Eligible Content, and science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) and can be adapted to any age level.

Zoo Tours: Visitors and students will learn about the adaptations, habitats, behaviors, and conservation statuses of resident Lehigh Valley Zoo animals on a professionally-guided tour with an education staff member.
Animal Kingdom Presentations: Designed to give students an up-close encounter with Zoo educational animals. Learn about their adaptations, behaviors, and the differences between species.
Creek Studies: Participants will have the opportunity to interact with nature and discover the diverse ecosystem of Jordan Creek. Discover frogs, crayfish and macro invertebrates. Identify which species were collected and learn why these animals are a vital part of the creek ecosystem.
Guided Nature Trail Hikes: Students and visitors will discover animal habitats and homes, different species of trees and plants, adaptations, native animal species and more within the beautiful Trexler Nature Preserve.
