Hut, hut, hike! Our annual Otterbowl returns for its 15th year on Saturday, February 7th at 12:15PM.
Our resident North American River Otters, Luani & Piper, will provide an annual prediction for which team will win the NFL Championship Game (to be played the next day). This will be Luani’s 12th appearance and Piper’s 3rd appearance at the annual Otter Bowl.

The otters will enter their exhibit and “sack” one of the paper-mache footballs filled with fishy treats. Whichever football gets chosen first is the otters’ prediction! Our otters’ all-time prediction record dropped to 4-9-1 last year after Luani tore open the Kansas football moments before Piper appeased the home crowd by opting for the Philadelphia version.
In addition to Otterbowl, we will have Bird-Friendly (shade-grown) Coffee sampling, a raffle for a chance to win a FREE Otter ADOPT package, Otterbowl-themed Otter ADOPT packages, and more!
This is event is included in your regular Daytime Admission Ticket and serves as a great opportunity for our two otters to receive ample enrichment and for our guests in attendance to learn more about North American River Otters.
